【高分必殺技】Lena老師 IELTS雅思口說Part 1

雅思口說是單獨進行的，通常在考試當日下午或隔天上午。

全程時間約11-14分鐘，評分其實非常主觀，所以建議考生盡量放鬆心情，不要背稿，表情應該自信愉悅，聲調自然流暢，口音不是扣分的關鍵，單純『口音』和錯誤『發音』是聽的出來的…
所以大家不必刻意表現得字正腔圓或死背莎士比亞等級的經典台詞（太經典以至於一般人聽不懂），只要清楚有條理的表達想說的內容，就可以輕易獲得門檻分數（IELTS 6.0-6.5）。

【考試流程】

三個部分的時間由考官掌控，大致的分配如下：

• Part 1: You will answer questions about yourself or your family (3-4min)
• Part 2: You will speak about a topic (4-5min)
• Part 3: You will have a longer discussion about the topic introduced in Part 2 (3-4min)

【Lena老師祕技】

口說的任何題目都可以用一種方法解題，那就是所謂的5W+1H（Why, What, When, Where, Who and How）。
這個方法該如何運用呢？其實很簡單…不論什麼題目，只要回答5W+1H大概就超過2分鐘了。
例句如下：

Q: When do people give gifts or presents in your country?  

A: People give gifts during special occasions such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, wedding and birthdays (when). One unique present that we give to people in Chinese culture is the red envelop with cash enclosed (what). The color red is associated with luck (why)…

【考試內容】

Part 1 關於個人興趣和習慣等問題：

Lena老師將第一部分稱為『幫助考生進入狀況的閒聊題』。

For example, how do you spend your weekends? Which is your favorite part of the weekend? Do you think your weekends are long enough?

切記每個問題至少回答2句話，包含了5W+1H的其中2項。
換句話說，如果題目問了how? 那除了回答how之外還可以補充who, when, where, why, what等答案。盡量不要讓考官追問，自己一次說明白多乾脆～
例句如下：

Q: How do you spend your weekends?

A: Watch a movie.（錯誤）

A: I like watching movies on the weekends (how), especially with my family (who). My family and I are usually busy on the weekdays and we don’t spend much time together (why). So weekends are very valuable time for us.（正確）

Part 2 紙卡主題：

同樣5W+1H的方法可以應用在第二部分Cue card topic。

口說第二部分的題目寫在一張紙卡上，考生看完題目後，將有一分鐘時間整理思緒並在白紙上寫下關鍵字，接著有二分鐘時間回答題目。
通常題目會伴隨著三個小提示，要求你說明Who, How, What等內容，回答的時候務必先解決這幾個問題，以免講得太忘我了最後卻沒有回答重點。之後自己可再延伸加入尚未回答的where and when等內容。
例句如下：

Q: Describe someone you know who does something well. You should say, (1) who this person is (2) how do you know this person (3) what they do well and explain why you think this person is so good at doing this.

A: My mother cooks really well (who+how+what). She never cooks with a cookbook, most of time she creates her own recipe based on past experiences and memories from dining out. Although my father and I love everything she makes, she sets a high standard to herself. She often learns from her own mistakes and tries to make a better one next time (why). 該回答的都回答完了…此時可加入一些加分或使人印象深刻的內容However, there is one type of cooking that she rarely does. In general, four major methods are involved in Chinese cooking, fry, boil, stir fry and deep fry. My mother doesn’t like deep-fried dishes so she seldom makes them at home. So I buy fried food whenever I crave for it but I have to bear with her health advice when enjoying a Big Mac from McDonald's… 希望考官聽到這裏會噗疵笑一下

Part 3 延續紙卡主題的深入討論題：

口說第三部分的題目較難預測，基本上會延續第二部分的主題，但擴大為社會、國家、世界等規模。
需要更深入的思考，也需要更多字彙來表達。

Q: What skills and abilities do people most want to have today? Why?

A: In my opinion, computer and language skills are the most desired abilities to have nowadays (what). The world has become a global village. Thanks to the advance of internet and technology, people are able to stay in touch with friends, family members or even meet strangers from all over the world. Being able to use a computer and social media apps seems to be a necessary skill to connect the world (why). Language in addition, is a tool to communicate with people of other culture, nationalities and regions. Learning a second or third language has been promoted and exercised in many countries. Taiwan, as an example, encourages its people to learn English (where+who)…

【結論】

1. 平常就要訓練自己稱為多話一哥一姐，英文不好可以先用中文練習。
2. Lena老師認為雅思口說有很大一部分在考學生的組織和邏輯思考能力，很多時候我請同學用2分鐘中文形容自己最難忘的一次旅行，就講的零零落落。
